Tuesday Night Training Rides / Thursday Night Races
So far, the weather has been most unkind to us. The first "extra" week
was
marked by torrential rain and it was also pretty damp this week as
well. I
got a puncture on the way down to Totara St, and then it rained, so I
gave
up. However, Tony Fairweather advises there were about a dozen hardy
souls
out, but he did note that it was extremely dark by 7.30pm, so lights are
an absolute must!
Saturday Morning Rides
The distance on these in starting to ramp up. A reminder that this ride
leaves from Koops Cycles at 6.30am.
Sunday Morning Rides
For those that head up Route K after leaving the Mount Information
Centre,
this ride has also been disrupted by roadworks for several weeks. I can
now advise that Route K is now all sealed again, so the you can go up
and
down there to your hearts content.
For those who drive that road, did anyone else feel slightly cheated by
paying a toll and then having to travel at 30km/h on a dirt road?
CNZ National Club Championships, Karaka, South Auckland, 18 to 21st
October.
Tauranga has quite a big team heading up to the Nationals, and I am sure
you will join me in wishing these riders all the best of luck. I am sure
they will do our blue and white jersey proud!
